Who may give immigration assistance

Giving immigration assistance for a fee is generally limited to registered migration agents (supervised by the Office of the Migration Agents Registration Authority, OMARA, often called MARA) and Australian legal practitioners. Before you pay anyone, check that they are on the register.

What this site does

This site compares your answers with published conditions and shows where each number comes from. It does not assess your case, does not recommend a visa and cannot tell you whether you will be successful. Only the Department of Home Affairs decides visa applications.

For fees, use the Visa Pricing Estimator on the Home Affairs site. Fees change every year, so the visa pages quote only the first-instalment charge as set from 1 July 2026 and always point you back to the estimator.

For advice on your own case, ask a registered migration agent (MARA) or an Australian legal practitioner. Rules change, so always check the official source.
